Events with first-class musicians and a soothing music program always find their audience. To create an unmistakable festival in Vorarlberg, we decided to establish a chamber orchestra. This year again, 20 young and dedicated professional musicians join the rehearsals and performances.

The Lech Festival Orchestra will consist of musicians of the Wiener Akademie. With a good orchestra it is easier to book top-class soloists. It also will be easier to put together a beautiful music program for a diverse audience for it continues to be our task to make the concertgoers happy in 2013. Bach, Händel , Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Tschaikowsky are on the program 2013. There will be an introduction to the music works before each concert.

The 2nd Lech Classic Festival takes place from August 6.-10th, again in the Neue Kirche (new church) Lech. August 6th, we start with a "Vorabend". As an Austrian premiere, the internationally renowned TV- music producer Andrea Andermann presents his TV-opera production of "La Cenerentola" by G. Rossini. Both of the lead singers will perform at the Gala Opening Concert the next day. Martin Haselböck will conduct the concert. Just to mention one of the many highlights: the director of the Theater an der Josefstadt, Herbert Föttinger, will recite Grillparzer's text accompanied by Beethoven's incidental music of Egmont.
